Allows you to create a LIVE CD with up to date programs, so you can boot into your Windows system and repair it when needed.

This is just one of the programs from the microsoft powertoys collection.
This utility will let you tweak your settings and repair folders, icons etc..
It repaired my font folder when I couldn't install any new fonts. Very useful
DESCRIPTION:
Allows users to edit, change, and apply new logon screens.
It comes with a visual editor so you can easily create custom logon screens, which can then be uploaded to websites so other users can use them.
It uses .logonxp files rather than requiring users to replace their actual logonui.exe, just incase things go wrong.
There are 3 themes included with the download, but you can download more from the site if you wish
DESCRIPTION:
A program that helps you organize your desktop easily and quickly.
Features include temporarily hiding icons/files, saving snapshots of your desktop, transparency options and more.
It would be great if this could be included as a default with every operating system
DESCRIPTION:
An add-in for Windows Explorer that gives you a tab browsing feature.
Makes moving files and folders much more easier and faster. Other features include preview and sub folder tips, application launcher, windows transparency, folder customization and more. If you have XP, you need .NET FrameWork 2.0 or later installed to use it. Also, once you've registered/installed it, you have to re-login to Windows to activate it. As always, make sure you read the documentation that comes with it
CLIPBOARD EXTENDERS
DESCRIPTION:
A clipboard extender program, that is easy to use and will save you time. Adds a little icon in the taskbar to configure and see whats saved in the clipboard. In my opinion, this is how the default windows clipboard should be. Make sure you look at the stickies plugin which you can download from here
To get the plugin working create a folder called "plugins" in the same directory as the "clipx" folder and extract the clipx-stickies-1.7.zip into it. Then enable the option by right clicking the icon in the taskbar and selecting configure
DESCRIPTION:
An information manager which provides extended clipboard capabilities to save all clips for later use. It stores clips in a convenient categorised format, with information about the window clip it came from, the URL if it came from a web page and the time and type of clip.
Extra features include capturing the screen, including specific filters, defining hotkeys, controlling application performance and lots more.
I also like the fact that it doesn't take much memory up.
This used to be shareware, but is now offered for free. I use it and it suits my needs fine
